Account details you provide (name, email), credit report information you choose to upload or connect, dispute letters you draft, call logs you record, and evidence files you store in your case file.
Your information is used only to operate your personal case file: flagging potential inaccuracies and violations, drafting dispute letters, tracking deadlines, and building your case-file export. We do not sell your data. We do not share your data with third parties except as needed to operate the service (e.g., hosting) or when you explicitly opt in to a law-firm referral.
Debt Defender is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (15 U.S.C. §1681 et seq.). Reports and scores you import remain subject to the terms of the bureaus that issued them. You have the right to obtain free annual reports at annualcreditreport.com and to dispute inaccurate information directly with the bureaus at no cost.
You may export or delete your case file at any time from within the app. Deletion removes your stored reports, letters, logs, and evidence from our active systems within 30 days (backups may persist briefly before rotation).
Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access is restricted to systems required to operate the service.
Debt Defender is an education and self-advocacy tool. We are not a law firm, we do not provide legal advice, and we are not a credit repair organization as defined by the Credit Repair Organizations Act. Nothing on this site creates an attorney–client relationship.
